Cone beam tomography or 3D X-rays

Cone beam tomography is becoming a standard diagnostic tool for implant placement particularly in specific cases. For your convenience, our North Scottsdale office has an ICAT unit for cone beam tomography in house. The Ahwatukee office location has two centers for providing this service nearby as does the Paradise Valley office if the North Scottsdale location is too far for you to travel. Cone beam tomography has the potential to limit complications, decrease surgical time,and increase implant precision and safety through the fabrication of computer guided stents.

Immediate loading of implants

Implants, particularly to support lower dentures can often be loaded immediately with as few as 4 implants to replace all the teeth and provide non-removeable replacement teeth. This means that the denture can be screwed into or secured by the implants the same day allowing you to chew similar to when a full complement of teeth were present. There are various implant systems or brands that provide this service. The implant system chosen will be dictated and customized to your individual needs. In short, one size may not fit all and we have a variety of proven systems at our disposal to use.

Piezoelectric bone surgery

In surgery, there can be an advantage to having an instrument that is selective in what it can act on. Piezoelectric devices allow for cutting of hard tissue without touching soft tissue. This can limit trauma and complications. It has uses for extraction of teeth, flap surgery, and sinus augmentations or lifts. This technology can help avoid the need for stitches in some procedures and decrease the invasiveness of some surgical procedures.
